MediaTube 是一款介面類似 iTunes 的 YouTube 影片播放器，支援萬國碼 (Unicode)。您只要將影片連結網址拖放到程式視窗，影片就會開始播放；若是將網址複製貼到程式視窗中間的欄位，則影片會顯示縮圖。每支影片下方都會提供影片來源、名稱、長度和日期等資訊。這款免費軟體在影片播放上與 YouTube 並無明顯不同，但前者會將留言和廣告予以去除，讓使用者在觀看影片時不會受到廣告等的干擾。
此外，您可在程式視窗中間的欄位輸入名稱或關鍵字來搜尋 YouTube 的影片，程式會將相關影片以清單方式列出，點擊各該影片即可播放。播放控制鈕位在視窗的下方，它們在滑鼠移到視窗底部時就會出現。這些播放控制功能亦可在功能選單的 Playback中找到。
點擊功能選單 File 中的 Open link 或按下快速鍵「Ctrl + O」，然後複製貼上連結網址可開啟 YouTube 頻道或播放清單。您亦可將影片連結網址拖放到程式視窗來建立新的播放清單。

The software is a YouTube player with iTunes-like interface. Using it you can watch YouTube videos without flash, browser, comments and the most important without ads. You can search video by a name or a keyword. Also, it displays a list of videos related to the currently playing one.
Here is a short tutorial on how to watch YouTube video in this video player:
Start the program
You can search for video be entering name of video at the upper right corner.
Or you can select Video -> Open URL and enter YouTube URL.
Press “Play” button.
On start player will renew “Related” playlist displaying videos related to currently playing.
You can open a YouTube channel or YouTube playlist by clicking the ‘Open’ link on the File menu. Type or paste the address in the ‘Open’ link bar displayed and click ‘Open.’ The channel’s videos will display in a new window entitled ‘Playlist’.
You can create new playlists by dragging links to the videos you want to include into the program window.
