AutoRuns 是一款用來顯示電腦中會自動執行 (Auto-Run) 之程式的免費工具，可以幫助我們檢視有哪些程式會隨著電腦啟動而自動執行，且可以讓我們做取消或啟用的動作，這不但可以加速電腦開啟的速度，縮短開機時間，還可以藉此幫助我們了解是否有惡意程式會隨著電腦啟動而執行。
一般而言，隨著電腦使用的時間越長，我們安裝的軟體也會越來越多，但有些軟體會伴隨電腦啟動而自動執行。這原本是軟體公司的好意，但當自動執行的程式越來越多時，電腦開機的速度也會變得越來越慢。因此，最佳之道就是將不必要的程式取消，使它們不要隨著電腦啟動而啟動。
這款軟體能列出所有在 Windows 啟動時會自動執行的程式、服務、載入的 DLL、檔案總管的 Shell extensions、瀏覽器的外掛等等。它也可以讓我們設定隱藏 Signed Microsoft Entries，而專注於第三方 (Third Party) 的部份 (亦即我們自己安裝的軟體)。

Autoruns, which has the most comprehensive knowledge of auto-starting locations of any startup monitor, shows you what programs are configured to run during system bootup or login, and shows you the entries in the order Windows processes them.
These programs include ones in your startup folder, Run, RunOnce, and other Registry keys. You can configure it to show other locations, including Explorer shell extensions, toolbars, browser helper objects, Winlogon notifications, auto-start services, and much more. Autoruns goes way beyond the MSConfig utility bundled with Windows Me and XP.
Its Hide Signed Microsoft Entries option helps you to zoom in on third-party auto-starting images that have been added to your system and it has support for looking at the auto-starting images configured for other accounts configured on a system. Also included in the download package is a command-line equivalent that can output in CSV format, Autorunsc.
