LINE 是一款高人氣的即時傳訊軟體，可讓您隨時隨地簡單又迅速地傳送免費訊息給好友。除了提供一對一聊天之外，還有方便的群組聊天功能。它除了可安裝在 iPhone、Android、Windows Phone、BlackBerry、Nokia Asha 等智慧型手機之外，現在還推出電腦版 (Windows 和 Mac)！
不過，電腦版的 LINE 先天上就有一項限制，因為使用者必須先在智慧型手機中綁定 Email 帳號與登入密碼，或是用手機掃描 QRcode 的方式登入；換言之，電腦版的 LINE 充其量只是手機版的附屬應用程式，主要還是給有智慧型手機、已安裝其 App 的人使用。
電腦版軟體目前除了支援文字聊天、貼圖、表情符號傳送之外，還可直接傳送檔案、照片和影片，且支援手機對電腦、電腦對電腦之間的免費語音通話。
