AkelPad 是一款小巧的免費文書編輯軟體，擁有快速、輕巧等特點。AkelPad 具有單窗口單頁面和單窗口多頁面兩種模式，可編輯超過 64k 限制的檔案，支援 Unicode 編碼、支援系統已安裝的內碼、支援 DOS/Windows 和 Unix 換行格式，且可預覽打開的文件，記憶搜索替換設置。此外，它還可自動記憶上一次搜尋或取代之文字字串並可自動記憶上一次開啟的檔案，是一款不錯的 Windows 記事本替代工具。
注意：程式安裝後為英文介面，請從功能表的 View → Language 下拉式選單中選取 Chinese (Traditional)，程式重新啟動後即變成繁體中文介面。

AkelPad is an open source editor for plain text. It is designed to be a small and fast.
